The founder
Alex Anokhin (Oleksiy Anokhin) founded KRAMAN in Leytonstone in 2006. He is a graduate of the Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University and has two decades of UK site experience.
Every KRAMAN contract is signed by the director. Clients deal with the same people from the first site visit to practical completion.
How we work
We have stayed deliberately small: three to five concurrent projects, one project manager per job, and the same foreman on site every day until practical completion. Sites are cleared every evening.
Every estimate is individual. The initial site visit is free and takes about an hour. You get a written rough-order-of-magnitude budget within three working days, and a fixed, fully itemised quote once the layout and finishes are agreed, with provisional sums clearly marked.
We submit planning applications, Lawful Development Certificates and listed building consent applications (alongside a heritage consultant) as part of project management. Accreditations, insurance and warranty
- Member of the Federation of Master Builders since 2009 (FMB profile).
- NICEIC approved contractor for electrical works.
- Gas Safe registered for gas and boiler works.
- £5 million public liability insurance, extendable to £10 million on request for higher-value contracts.
- 24-month workmanship warranty on every project, on top of all manufacturer cover.
- 10-year Premier Guarantee on basement structural work.

Where we work
Most of our projects are in East London, close to the Leytonstone office: Leytonstone, Wanstead, Leyton, Walthamstow, Stratford and Hackney. We also work in Brockley and the rest of South East London, in Highgate and North London, and in Central London.
