House refurbishment and vaulted kitchen extension
Complete house refurbishment with a kitchen extension in Highgate N6, North London. See the photo gallery of this residential project by KRAMAN Ltd builders.
About this project
A complete refurbishment of a house in Highgate N6, with a new kitchen extension at the back. The old glazed garden room was replaced by an extension with a hipped timber roof: we framed the rafters and hips, boarded and battened the roof and covered it in grey slates. Inside, the ceiling was left vaulted, with dark painted tie beams across the room.
Outside, the extension is finished in painted weatherboard-style cladding with white casement windows. The kitchen has dark wood-grain units, polished worktops, a ceramic butler sink under the window, an island with a matching worktop, built-in double ovens and ceiling spotlights, and one wall of the extension has built-in white shelving.
Scope of work
- Rear kitchen extension replacing a glazed garden room
- Hipped timber roof covered in slate, vaulted ceiling
- Weatherboard-style cladding and casement windows
