About this project
This Victorian terrace in Leytonstone E11 was renovated from the roof down. At the top of the house we built a loft conversion with a rear dormer finished in dark vertical cladding, and at ground level a single-storey rear kitchen extension with large sliding glass doors onto the garden.
The extension has a flat roof with a grey membrane and a VELUX roof window over the kitchen, and its walls are clad to match the dormer, so from the garden the new work reads as one design. The main pitched roof was re-battened over new IKO underlay. Inside, the bathroom has a walk-in shower lined with large marble-effect tiles, and the garden was finished with new close-board fencing topped with trellis.
