About this project
A new roof over the single-storey rear extension of a house in Walthamstow E17. The old covering was stripped and we built a new pitched roof structure in timber, insulated between the joists, boarded it, laid a breathable membrane and battens, and finished it in dark grey slates under the first-floor windows.
The photos show the house before work started, the roof stage by stage from the scaffold, and the finished roof over the French doors to the garden.
