Noel Park conservation area
Noel Park was designated a conservation area on 4 November 1982. Haringey uses Article 4 directions in four conservation areas, Noel Park, Peabody Cottages, Rookfield Estate and Tower Gardens, and the current directions for Noel Park, Peabody Cottages and Tower Gardens took effect on 21 December 2020, replacing older ones. In Noel Park, alterations such as new windows and doors need planning permission.
Wood Green Common and the rest of N22
Wood Green Common, designated in 1976, is the other conservation area in Wood Green. Outside the conservation areas a rear dormer within 40 cubic metres and a single-storey rear extension within 3 metres can be permitted development on a terrace, subject to the conditions.
